This week has seen the publication of a government consultation document on banning so-called "Violent Pornography." There has been a lot of discussion about this on IC and elsewhere this week, concentrating on fears that any legislation may also catch legitimate BDSM erotica, and repeat the injustice of the Spanner Precedent by interfering with the human rights of BDSM people. A dedicated mailing list has now also been created, to co-ordinate a campaign against these proposals, and Unfettered has organised a public meeting in London on 9th September.
