i did a great scene with Alliander the other night in which He used a simple red light bulb and a few sound effects to create an arena full of people. http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/weblogs/amarant... if any one's interested!

i was just wondering what ingenious devices people have used or ideas they've had for setting the scene for a roleplay when they haven't been able to get to a castle/forest/dungeon etc.

i'm also interested to hear of any great roleplays people have done and why they worked so well :-)

Mistress Abattoir and I have a room in our house in which there is a bondage bed with speakers arranged inside and controlled from outside. The room is without windows and is completely dark when the door is shut...

We find it very useful for sensual scenes or sensory deprivation type scenes.

I call it the Darkroom.

Pain is nothing more than weakness leaving the body. I will give unto you the strength to do what is in your heart.

We've played "Russian Immigration" using no more than a bed and a desk and chair, although with lots of desk thumping and shouting (not by me!)

We've played Travel Agencies where the location I chose to travel to, had a lot to do with what happened to me when I got there (Outer Space was ...extreme..., Arizona involved much tying up and baking in the hot sun, etc etc)

I've played interrogation games where I am a spy, or a naughty schoolgirl, or any number of other characters who need to have secrets dragged from them.

I would have thought it wouldn't be easy to see why really.

Now these ideas i like :-)

This is what i mean, roleplays that are great as a result of imagination and hardly any equipment. Although any amazing scenes in castles and dungeons would be good to hear about too :-)

Come on people, more! :-D

Constructed a scene once for a friend where the first time she came to our house she was blindfolded and led in by her Top.

I had pinned drapes and fabrics all around the basement and with some candles, the place looked suitably medieval castle-ish. Thinking back, some gregorian chant in the background might ahve been appropriate.

Another good scene I was in once had me tied to the bed, blindfolded with headphones on (playing forest and water ambient sounds) whilst my (now ex) whipped me.

A long time ago I learnt that the sub I was seeing at the time had a real fear of the Freddy Kruger Nightmare on Elm Street Films. This was noted and saved for a future date.

One evening when she was tied to the bed and blindfolded I put my plan into action. There was no need for extra scenary as she was blindfolded and the scene was just taking place in her head.

Using a small dental probe and a small Bart Simpson evil laughing box(the noisy annoying type of thing that comes in a birthday card). The probe was gently scratched against the metal bedhead and the box made to emit its evil laugh.

Oh what fun to watch her reaction.

Steve :-)

What your mind does not know your heart will make up .. best have a good heart then :-)

Animal play is a favourite of mine. Sometimes we do it without outfits, othertimes with - I prefer with - have made some sleek PVC outfits such as a tiger outfit. Being a tiger is fun with my sub the prey. Only alowed to make animal noises, lots of chasing around the house and pouncing, then biting when I catch her. Definately a fun way to have a totally different scene and a break from everyday life.
