Ahh ... none of your list scares me one bit! Nope, not at all.. give me snakes, mice and rats.. show me spiders, centipedes and ants, and not a hair will stand on end with me. (am a country gal after all)... but if you got near me with a cockroach, i will run faaaaaaaaaaaar away.. they so give me major hibijibies ! If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten. | |

LOL You were a subbie for a spider!? Very interesting post Master Bone. Interesting that you distinguish between animals and insects the way you do. I think there's more to it than that, eg check out Nathalia Edenmont's words about her own photographic work in which she works with the "values" of animals. What is the value of a rabbit? One could be a family pet, one could be a stew. Ditto rats, mice, dogs, horses etc etc. There's also the "value" placed on their use, specifically for me I killed lots of wasps, violently, for my nipple torture. [I'll throw in here that wasps can also be classed as a pest too]. I deemed their suffering at the alter of my pleasure worth while for me. And I'm the same person who you will find in Tesco looking glum at the sight of surplus, reduced priced cooked wole chickens for £1.20 or whatever. I've even muttered a 'sorry' to them under my breath; that their short caged lives and their fear and pain [debatable if this could be equated to that with my wasps so won't go there] results in their dead bodies being sold for pennies or simply therow in the waste. That to me is a vastly more tragic situation than me killing wasps for my jollies. Anyway leeches is always one I'd be prepared to try if I could get clean ones. I say prepared to try but its really more I want to try it but find it a bit scarey. So does this word 'figging' mean putting up/down your urethra? Giant Hogweed is a biggie you missed. But you maybe did that on purpose because it can leave permanent scars.
