I agree,
A pre-op TS should describe themself as such. With regards to using blured and cropped photos,it is possible that the person posting their profile doesn't wish to have their full image on the web.In the profiles that I have viewed om IC,it is sub males who are the most likely to have a profile without ANY image.

Lets seperate things here a little... Transvestites - TV - male dressing in ladies clothes (or vice versa) Transexuals - TS - male who wishes to be female, and will often take some route to become one full time (or vice versa of course) (and then theres: crossdressers - CD - male who partakes in dressing in ladies clothes) (and i ain't going to go into the differences between CD and TV). Now, a TV trying to pass up as a genetic female dominant without coming clean on that fact up front is truly a problem that should not happen. They should be open and honest about it from the start (as i am). A TS is a more touchy matter. It would be fair to say that it isn't fair to come out with it after a relationship has started (oh, i used to be a man) in the case of a post-operative TS. In the case of a pre-op, I personally think that it's up to the TS to decide wether to say anything, but if they're looking for a full, long term relationship or if things are going to be more sexual in the relationshp ,happen, then it really should be disclosed. These are of course just my personal views on the matter. Now there's another matter, what catagory should they post ad's under. TV's should, in my opinion, post under the male adverts. Post-op TS's should post where they like, but will probably post under the female advert catagory. Pre-op TS - that's the problem catagory. I've seen, and belong to, sites that list male, female, couple, group (sometimes), and CD/TV/TS as catagories - i STRONGLY dislike that first one, as it lumps us all into the same group, and things are not always that distinct between CD, TV, and/or TS.
as i say, my personal views, i'm probably going to find people who agree with them from all spectrum (male, tv, female, ts, martian, and so forth), and those who don't. Hey - so what. Who said as a switchy bi tv i can't have a viewpoint eh? . my stories at http://members.tripod.com/~oscagne

Yes I am a woman, seeing as that is what it says on my birth certificate...so I reckon I must be. However that doesn't stop me strapping on 8 inches of leather and giving a sub a damn good seeing to...does that make me a man then? (flutter of long eyelashes..tapping of long nails). Better not put a pic of me up with anything but that then had I.. cos god forbid I may be misrepresenting myself! Then what am I.. male or female? Anway I do not have a photo to put up because a) I could actually be Brittany Spears, and if the press got hold of it!...well your all in the news. b) I'm Gareth Gates..and that would give the game away that I'm actually a woman and not even a sssssssassubmissive one at that c) I don't have a digital camera . Pics are great, I appreciate that..but if you haven't got one..doesn't always mean you want to hide your appearance, but maybe just your vanilla ID.... SAS men, VAT inspector, your childs teacher, Cherie Blair..bet they are all on here.

Out of the three, it's indisuptable that you're most likely Gareth Gates. After all, we haven't seen him around for a while, and you've never been photographed in the same room together...

Well, I will just add my half P's worth.
I'm a CD and I would like to be a domme. I am not interested in domming men only women and I know some women find men in womens clothes kinky. So toiletslavemartin your safe.
I was under the impression that the fetish scene is open to everybody. Starting to take the micky about one section will only damage it all.
Regarding photos I only have mind fudged out because I'm an ugly sod and I dont want to scare anybody off. I'm quite happy for people to take the P out of me as I think I look a pillock anyway. My marrage broke down after 14 years because of my cross dressing, but there are other people who are more sensitive.
If anybody wants to slag me off I'm quite happy, at least it will mean I get memos P.S. sorry if my grammer or spelling is bad.

THIS is the bit i was referring to, the most prominent bit of the post: the bit where you imply that you CAN obviously tell they are male and are therefore offended that they dare to advertise as dommes... ...i understand that it is an uncomfortable situation when a man finds out in the middle of a scene that his domme is in fact male, and this issue should be addressed, yes...BUT that was not the issue you brought up, or if you have, it was hidden behind the insults to TVs...

I used to think that I had been abducted by aliens to many times, but it seems I am actually a Martian. As a switchy bi tv/cd with many TS friends - in other words, quite a normal bloke, That's fine by me, if people want to use lots of meaningless labels it's up to them. I agree with oscanes views, and my heart goes out to Tania. While'st people like toiletslavemartin may have a genuine point about people not being what they say they are, he should also consider the feelings and sensibilities of others in what he says. I have to deal with this sort of thing all day at work, and quite frankly, toiletslavemartin would be heading down the toilet in my workplace. (or home). Despite trying to say that he is only talking about 'timewasters' or so called 'frauds' he actually displays great prejudice. There are Laws against this sort of thing nowadays. I have made this point before on IC, but it seems to me - help me Tanos - that IC was originally intended for the Maledom/femsub. Since it is the the best and biggest meeting point on the UK web due, it has to be said, to Tanos's dedication and hard work, (and money), It has grown, Tanos realised this when he had to go to bigger servers and have a redesign, but the number of diverse people who now make up this vibrant community are not necessarily the MD/fs for whom the site was designed. The last site had a Fetish section in the personal ads, where couples or rubberists and Martians could post profiles, this site does not cater for that, indeed - most people on this site seem to advertise in all categories, partly cos they don't know how it works, or if you are like me, have diverse interests and you do not wish to exclude possibilities. Can I ask for your support to ask Tanos to provide more categories in the Personal Ads section? It just might help.

[/quote] C'mon is that really necessary.. are we all going to be put into boxes and labelled, cos that is what it amounts to. I think the majority of us on her are highly intelligent people (not quite sane maybe..but who cares....)and will have the comman sense or pure curiosty to FIND OUT ABOUT A PERSON. What im picking up from recent threads is that some, albeit a small minority, of people are trawling around as if its either a cattle market or they are inspecting the labels on tins like sad geeks in Sainsburys. I'm sure most agree we do not need a stamping of the arm in ink to clarify what camp we belong in.
