My crisp hell (13)

Smartarse's profile

Posted by Smartarse on Wed 6 Jul 05, 11:05 PM to Smartarse's blog.

I've been meaning to write this for about 15 minutes now. But this seems the right time. I've been thinking about this really deeply and I've just got to get it off my chest.

I had a packet of salt and shake crisps today - yeah I know, crisps, cuh! - anyway there was no packet of salt in them. And that just really p*ssed me off. Maybe that's why I've been in such a grumpy mood all day. I dunno.

So... About the missing salt packet. I've been thinking about this and it made me think of BDSM. Because being deprived of the little packet of salt was really frustrating. It was like Walkers were being dominant and teasing me by selling a packet of crisps but deliberately taking the salt out. God, it was SO frustrating. Fortunately I have other sources of salt in my house so was able to relieve my frustration, albeit I did have to go back into the kitchen. I say fortunately, because this was unconcensual teasing on Walkers part and therefore I didn't enjoy it.

The salt thing in turn reminded me of an ex-girlfriend I once playfully slapped on the bum when she was tying her shoelace up. I don't know why it should, maybe it was the association with frustration. Anyway we had a really wonderful relationship.

I hope that's made you all think very deeply about crisps and the importance of buying the ones with salt already attached.

I'm so pleased to see that profundity is still in vogue.

Actually your blog merely makes me think about slapping the girl friends arse; given our geographical estarngement, that just so unfair..

If life is so good, why do people die?

And isn't it past six o'clock?

Honestly! Talk about leading my example!

I ate them at lunch time. I've been brooding about it all day.

Here here, although as in my mind and my diet... "you must eat pulses and vegetables" (smartarse lecture) Chocolate and coffee are both pulses (cocoa and coffee bean) sugar beet is a vegetable? :) I guess he was just relying on the old favourite that crisps are a potato and therefore count towards his 5 f&v a day!

In view of these events and following his example. I draw Smartarses attention to the attached link, which explains why salt is dangerous to health and should be cut down. And that i think instead of complaining about the titilation from Smiths? and their deprivation therapy, Smartarse should actually be grateful that they were trying to preserve and maintain his good health :)

That's why I started eating salt and shake in the first place. So I could have the pleasure of chucking away the little blue bag. I have slipped a bit lately and started putting just a very light sprinkling on just occasionally. But I like the choice. It's the choice that's been taken from me. That's SO Ds, don't you think?

Anyone want to congratulate me on my thought provoking blog yet?

They're nicer without the salt anyway.
