Her Master's Voice has to report a little eve-of-Mother's Day flutter on the bottom. No, not some wager on a nag that should have been sent to the glue factory years ago; a genuine, if somewhat amusing, technical term to do with reproduction - on gramophone records, of course.
This - er - flutter started in the sitting room during the adverts, with a change of implement every time a new ad started. By great good fortune, for the target bottom, the implements bottom fears most, the tawse and the riding crop, regularly fell upon short adverts whilst the caressing canes held sway in the longer ads. Moral of the story: Never trust TV schedulers to provide the right backdrop for a session. You could, though, just the once for the experience, select Sky Channel 217 at 01.00 hours to watch virtual nags in virtual races. Brilliant, if unintentional, comedy, but, above all, a channel so utterly passionless that everything else seems extreme. You could, I suppose, build up your own tension by numbering your playthings and exercising that implement according to the number carried by the virtual nag that came second. The bottom / sub would know which numbers to anticipate with most trepidation... Anyway, we haven't and we didn't, so I suppose I must be digressing....
Bottom moaned a bit at the (several bouts of) three or four minutes of non-stop warm-ups, first complaining that Master wasn't taking it seriously and a couple of commercial breaks later deciding for herself, wrongly, when her bottom thought the ads ought to be over, that they were.
I now decided that Mel needed to learn some self-discipline and she was ordered to the room of obedience.......
