Valentines Day (9)

It's Valentines Day soon and being the totallycoverme that I am, it would make sense to comment on it.

I think VD can be potentially quite sweet...recieving flowers, choccies, cards etc would all be the sort of thing that would make me go melty. It's never happened though and I don't mind. This is because I've either been single on VD or now that I am deeply in love with Master, he doesn't need to woo me with anything out of the ordinary just because it happens to be the 14th Feb.

So yeah, if you're single and feeling it on Valentines day then please don't, it's all commercial and you're onto a winner with a tub of Ben and Jerrys and a wank (that used to be my strategy :-p / ;) )

If you're in a couple, don't feel pressured to woo the other person by paying over the odds to sit in an overcrowded and overpriced restaurant. That's far too cliched and then you'll end up envying the singles brigade who are sitting at home with their tub of BandJ and a wank.

So yeah, I have this theory that on VD the singles envy the couples and the couples envy the singles. Keep it simple folks, bury your head in the sand and ignore the commercial brainwashing (hmmm, is brainwashing too strong a word? i do actually feel a bit mean saying that. what are your thoughts?)

So where am I at this VD? Well, we are close to celebrating our 2 year anniversary anyways so I would like to do what I did last year for Master where I got all birded up for him and knelt for him on the bed and begged him to use me however he wanted to. That isn't possible this year because we are now in a long distance relationship for a set period of time that happens to coincide with VD. I have a romantic idea of what I'd like to do for him...I'd like to order him a pizza delivery. But because I don't know when he'll be hungry there's a flaw in my plan. Another flaw in the plan is the fact that we're both eating keto friendly at the moment (which is basically about reducing your carbs to quite a substantial point but not as much as the yvonne atkins diet). So yeah, if this carby monster is randomly delievered to Master then he's gonna be like "wtf?!" lol!

Before I left Manchester I joked to Master that I was gonna send him a banana in the post just for the sake of having an experience but he said he'd be pissed if he had to go to the collection office just for a fucking banana! lol. I was thinking of trying out moonpig or funky pigeon dot com. These ideas are the most doable I think but again, I don't want to buy into the commercial aspect that neither Master or I are too big on.

So yeah, with it being VD I guess I'm gonna sit on the fence and keep it simples. Show love all year round and all that.

Ideally I would like to get whored up and give Master a very thourough foot bath with my tongue for starters and for the main course let him have his way with me big style but I know that's not an option right now.

So yeah...Valentines Day...treat it like the Daily Mail in that is exists but you don't necessarily have to subscribe to it.

What you fuckers doing for Valentines Day coz I need opinions and that! Over to you :)xx

I'm currently staying in a hotel during the week, and it's making a big thing about Tuesday - advertising a special meal and that. So I'm mostly wondering whether to eat in the restaurant as usual and people-watch (which could be fun or could send me into a deep depression) or get room service / eat in the bar!

Single, though, so no bigger dilemmas than that for me.

(PS I love Moonpig. Been using them for *years*. The cards I get through them always go down well - thoroughly recommended.)

VD hasnt bothered me for years, as had been single for a long time. This year I am newly single and just a little tired of having it pushed in my face. I didn't want flowers or any gift, just to be able to make my Sir happy.

No that's not sour graps, I hope that all have found a glimmer of the happiness I had, are able to express it everyday. Just tired of it all. Sorry! But if your luckly enough to be with someone who wants you, grab it with both hands!

Hmmm, Is is just me that thinks the abbreviation of Valentines Day to "VD" seems to spoil it a little?

Now thinking of a sexually transmitted disease rather than cuddles and cards and candy, oh my.

I loathe it, the postman always get lost, interflora deliver building my hopes up and then with a smug grin ask me to take em in for the woman next door. The one time I got anything red in the post was a final demand from British Gas... saying that I still don't begrudge anyone celebrating their love its a kind of cutsy thing to do

Either whisky evening or watching breakfast at Tiffany's at princecharlescinema. Or both.

The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going, at 66,000 miles an hour, around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be.

I love it all, the flowers, cards and chocolates - if it's done right. I'd love to be totally wooed!

The best Valentine's like that that I had was from a girlfriend who sent me a mahuuuusive bouquet of roses and I absolutely loved it!

I got a teddy and a Basil Brush card one year from a boy a year below me at school, that was quite cool. Mostly because I got a message in a Maths lesson asking me to go down to Reception because there was something special there for me :)

I guess I like the attention as much as all the gestures. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much if there wasn't an element of attention in it for me.

Daddy got me a gorgeous silver anklet last year that has a little heart on it, it's very lovely. He also got me a massive card, I totally loved that too :)

There's always one, and if I'm in the vicinity, it's probably me.

Nothing here for me either :(

Once again i find myself bloody single on Valentine's Day...Typical! I have loved this romantic day since i was a little girl, hoping for that special treatment and just being totally and utterly loved up. My nilla ex hated it and thought it was over-rated bollox, therefore expecting me to feel the same, and subsequent relationships i've been in seem to have ended just before Valentines Day too :(

So yeah, i guess once again i'll be spending this day bitter, envious and alone, kidding myself it really is just over-rated bollox lol ;-) Curry, movie and a "love-meself" wank it is then!!
