If you are in a D/s type of relationship should one or the other of you be 'grateful' for it? As a sub do you feel you are unworthy of the attention of your dominant? Doms do you feel grateful that your sub serves you? Does the idea of being grateful have any part in your relationship and do you think it should?

If you are grateful to be in the relationship, either as sub or dom, are there any special ways you show your gratitude? Or is it just in your normal day to day interactions or BDSM play that you manifest it?

I'm grateful to my slave for all that he does for me - which are many things!

Of course, on one level in such a relationship that service is expected, but I think I would have to be peculiarly insensitive not to be grateful. Indeed, it would almost seem to lessen the service itself as it would suggest either that it was easy for the slave or that I didn't value it.
