I don't like the word "lifestyle" used to describe us. I am also sick of seeing the word "scene". I have a dilemma. I don't know any other succinct words to use in their stead. Any ideas? What do you use? ^S Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

It depends on context. I rather like the euphemism 'of the same church'. It sounds so respectable hahaha.

Harpo would be my favourite some of the times; having someone stay silent can be a bonus! (Not geared toward anyone in particular!) Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I think I would struggle with that one, I'm a Social Anthropologist and use it differently; it could lead to ambiguity, especially if they don't know the meaning of culture and assume it's "from a different land/religion/race". Need to think a bit more about the times I've struggled, to see if it works. But thanks. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. |
