Good idea You should also invest in a strop (and paste) and if you don't already have one, a fine hone / sharpener.

They're alright, but will need a strop. Unless your thinking about just leaving it on show in the bathroom. Without a strop, you'll get maybe three or four good shaves. Also they're not usually stainless, so remember to dry them afterwards. I have a couple, but to be honest I still use a safety razor.

I bought mine at Harrods. They were incredibly helpful. When I bought it I also had a shave from one of their barbers who taught me. This was really useful and have done well ever since. The barber taught me a lot on how to shave, first time, keeping it Sharp etc. The razor only cost £200 and is top class as well as very beautiful. I can't remember how much I paid for other stuff but I think around £50. Well worth it although have to confess buzzing Gillette competes well. It is also useful in other areas but I tend to use a sheaf knife for removing clothes, the thought of a pair of scissors .... Yuk Knife much safer as well, keeping edge facing away from body whereas crappy scissors have 2 points. and as for aesthetic beauty, knife wins hands down .. or bra straps off! Ahhhhh nice thoughts now as result of thus post Thanxxx. | ||
