I've done a bit of research into the health implications of ethyl chloride inhilation. There have been mentions of possible liver and kidney damage (common to most drugs, including alcohol) as well as deaths resulting from its use as a general anesthetic (not much data on % of uses ending in fatality). Short term effects seem to be dizzyness, loss of co-ordination, loss of conciousness (all par for the course with chemical breath play), as well as vomitting and stomach cramps. I was wondering if anyone here had tried this form of breath play and if they had any advice/information on both administration (doses, etc) and risks (both likely and remote)? I am fully aware that this comes in R.A.C.K and is considered pretty extreme breath play. Don't you just love goodbyes? | |

Hi Asrayel, Firstly – don't do this alone. In my teens I used to sniff chloroform, chemically very similar. One day I woke up with my breakfast on my face. Now I know dying by inhaling vomit (usually your own) was cool with rock stars in the 60's and 70's but I'm actually quite lucky to be typing this. I.e. treat it as you would a general aesthetic with nil by mouth for four hours previous. And don't wear any sort of gag which would prevent you vomiting. The main medical use of ethyl chloride is as a freezing spray so avoid coming into contact with the liquid in the nose, mouth or eyes. It probably won't do lasting damage if you do come in contact with the liquid but it would give you an unpleasant surprise. Swallowing it can be fatal. On the question of long-term harm, like most things, okay in small quantities and occasionally but not something you would want to do too often.

Extreme breath play with chems has a lot of risks. Typing out a memo with written instructions is an extremely poor substitute for some hands on training from someone who has years of experience based on playing with dozens of people who all react differently. There is no one set of rules or dosages. Risks include: Vomiting Choking Chemical burns to the eyes and nasal membranes Injury if spasms occur Injury if they aren't restrained adequately Hallucinations Delusions Paranoia Risk of attack from a delusional, paranoid, hallucinating sub!

the things we do as kids. i used to steal chloroform from the school lab.and apart from waking up with wet pants on a few occasions i got away with it. don,t know how.although 40 years on i,d like to give it one more try, supervised of coarse. | |

remember no food 6 hours before playing with any gasses/chems like Ethyl or Nitrous, thats why people vomit, you dont eat a breakfast and go for a run, the blood into muscles change in diff areas, if you have food it your stomach, you will vomit, when you are forced to pass out, same as when you have surgery, you fast for 12 hours........ I do rant a bit, and try to explain, but I know what I am talking about, Breath Deep please!!! | |
