I spent 6 years being subjected to almost daily abuse til the medication stopped. After three years I immersed myself in my job to hide myself away, to survive. My sanctuary.
I survived, we survived. My work survived and I excelled at my job, getting promotion and tremendous respect.
Now though we have a new boss. A bully; an abuser. My team and I live with fear and stress and increasing sickness.
No longer the sanctuary it was, the sanctuary I no longer needed, my situation has reversed.
Bit of a bugger really when stuff at home has been so good this past 8 months.
Still, I survived that, I will survive this tyrant. Just hate the conflict it brings at times and the tears....
ps to DM who I know is watching me always...love you my friend. we miss you xxxx

Keep a record - day, time, what happened, who else was there etc so that if you do take the grievance route you have the evidence. There is a great website run by someone who was bullied at work in the past : http://www.bullyonline.org/workbully/ Take care x | |

Please please please, order a copy of this book: 'Bully in sight' How to predict, resist, challenge and combat workplace bullying. By Tim Field. (Published by Success Unlimited). I used this book a lot when putting together my tribunal case against former employers (which I won), and recently I have been using it helping a friend in his case. Please order this book, it identifies types of bullying, the way to handle it, and ultimate sanctions you can have to deal with it. I wish you well, I know it takes stamina to deal with.
