Need some bricks, got some space, lets have some fun with this. We need around 700 standard size bricks for some maintenance work in the new building. The ground floor space how-ever is massive with high ceilings which have not caused a problem for me to swing around 6feet nylon bulls. If anyone would like some indoor practice space to either practice your swing, aim or whipping a partner/sub this space is on offer of 5mins a brick. Bring 6 bricks and that's half an hour.
Bring a breeze block and that counts as 2 bricks The space can house 2 people with big whips or 4/5 easily with 3/4 footers. Anyone interested please let me know. Bolton based, 5 mins from the train/bus station. www.Bdsmandfetishmentor.co.uk Pro dom/me & Training / Mentoring services available. Either come to us or can travel to you with discretion assured.

A standard concrete block is roughly 4"x18"x9" in old money, so equal to 6 bricks. Anyway, I'm not far from Bolton so if I get my hands on any bricks or blocks I'll give you a shout. Don't own a whip or a woman to swing it at but the blocks are still yours.

Oh, and if anyone has bricks but no transport may also be able to help if it's not too far.

I was thinking of bumping this for the same reason. That and because I'm curious about the work Mr Smith is doing. Is the brickwork going to be hidden? A bit about bricks. European law requires bricks to be made to metric measurements, so new bricks don't fit much of our old housing stock that was built to imperial measurements. Imperial bricks weren't even standardised, brickworks made their own moulds. If you go to most builders yards they can supply you with a brick that is either 65mm or 75mm tall. Concrete blocks come in 4" or 6", this refers to the width of the block - 100mm or 150mm in French money. You can also get hollow blocks in a variety of sizes up to around 9" wide, probably larger if you ask. If you end up with a variety of shapes, sizes and colours of bricks, blocks, reconstructed stone and dressed or even undressed stone, hand made bricks, rubbed bricks, is it going to matter? Can you use Thermalite blocks? Do you need sand and cement too if anybody has any knocking about? I know, I'm being really pernickety!
On the subject of rubbed bricks. When creating arched lintels in olden times, masons would often pay boys to rub bricks in to a shape required to form the lintel. This was done by rubbing the bricks on an abrasive cloth draped over the boys leg. Just an idea in case someone was trying to come up with an arduous and pointless task to give to someone else.
