I think it's very sexy when ClassAct gets banned. We really like cheese, we like Zeppelins. WE LIKE THE MOON!

To me, that came across as dry humour from ClassAct.

Coo, what a sensitive lot. The girl, albeit generally well balanced, had put in thousands of posts, which might be a way to get exposure and male attention, but seems also to have become an end or outlet in itself. She was clearly also sensitive about weight (her weight?) and in that regard must be in good company, otherwise why would people rise to the bait? (If indeed there was any). I've noticed that certain use of language frequently gets very intolerant response. (In the same way that if somebody reads instead of hears your voice they sometimes can't get the tone of the comment and think you are SHOUTING not smiling). I once suggested that some girl "came to her conclusions too swiftly, but good luck anyway". Her response was to say that she was going to get me banned! Presumably admin on that occasion looked at the offending note and couldn't actually find offence - as there was none. No wonder it's all smiley faces and LOL in what is still a strange new addition to the world. (Is this what Berners-Lee thought he was up to?!) The mantra that it would be nice if all girls looked like models (or if you like that we were all in peak condition according to our various lights) that education or cash is not a bad thing and that not everybody likes tattoos is hardly controversial - and to my mind its repetition looks like one variation of kink amongst many. Some folk on here are here for contacts, some for the record and some are plain needy and need the outlet. Naturally, everybody needs to be happy in his or her skin, but I don't remember CA making a personal attack on anybody, though did see a good few against her - this strand being a case in point. Of course, I'm told that such attacks turn some people on. It's a broad church IC, isn't it? Somebody who knew somebody who knew her made a comment that implied she was respectable, moral and pleasant: basically harmless. What's that Christian thing about not casting the first stone? I'll admit that one reason I joined IC is that I was attracted by the intelligence in her profile, though the number of posts worried me a little. I'm not sure I'd want to ban little girls - there's better things to do with them. Edited 13 Feb 12, 11:53 PM by teejayel
