I was curious to know, from those who send memo's to people they fancy: how many do you send out in an average month? Only count first memo's, where you have initiated contact with somebody that you saw in the Personals part of the site, and took a liking to. Oh, and please state whether you are male of female. Possibly a blog that has been done before, but I'm curious as to the state of affairs at the moment. My own answer by the way is, erm... hardly any! I've never actually messaged anyone i saw in the personal ads to be honest. Rarely view them. Messaged a few who caught my interest because of something they'd written in blogs or on threads etc..but not as a chat up line, just socially. BTW..i'm female. jules | |

I regularly look at "the personal" and sometimes, just sometimes, there's someone who has a decent profile. I must have sent a memo or message to about 6 since I returned. I've received this month alone about 40 new ones. Some are interesting and we're getting to know each other. male. i dont have the habit of sending memo, unless for clarifications, but i had one at the beginning asking me if i was somebody else. Since here, i have sent only 1 memo from which it did start a little chat that ended the same day. i think that Dommes are overwelmet of memos asking all possible things, and mine would be just one of many, so i dont. | |

Good question, I do sometime wonder how many is too many……. Are we dom's supposed to chase any sub that passes or be more circumspect. I will say that I have messaged a few, always after a thorough reading of the profile and I try very hard not to start with “Hi fancy a fuck & a shot of my cock” My advice: Be selective, read the profile, look at the postings be honest and never try too hard. On kink sites, rarely - there seems little point since discussions on the fora and events will see interaction with people that might prove interesting. On 'nilla sites, unlike what I'm led to believe the norm for a male is, I send maybe 2 or 3 intro messages a month (plus a "hello!" to obvious kinksters I don't know through events an fora). If I get a reply, I'll reply, so the total number of messages will be higher at times. In other words, I put little effort in because I see no point in wasting my time. Female - I rarely send a memo to someone if am interested in them beyond writing to say I enjoyed something they had written either on the forums or in their personal blog. Two or three times a week if they've piqued my interest with their writing and I just want to comment directly, memoing them. Once a month if I am interested in them on a more personal level and with a view to getting to know them to discern shared compatibility.
