Right, got that off my chest. Actual taboo... I think the idea of 'slaves' involving cnc, tpe, lack of real choice, etc... is taboo for some, or else why else would there be so many discussions on it? I agree that race and religion play, especially of a Nazi/Jewish, black and white or Muslim/hijab is taboo amongst many, as is evident on the boards and in some events' dresscodes. For me, i think mine would be scat. This isn't a health and safety thing. It's not an 'it's wrong for others thing', but it is something that i think i would find would be really hard to go through with or get over - even though oddly there is a 'morbid fascination' with it and how powerful something so disgusting (to me) could be if i were forced into participating. When I think of taboo topics I think of acts that provoke strong response on boards like this where we would expect open mindedness, therefore of acts / fantasies that one would like to discuss in a serious manner but often get shot down. Animimals and paedophilia aside Some examples that I've come across on the boards include drugging, strangling, hanging, crucifixion, nailing of body parts, castration and scat. Also topics such as people being asexual haven't always been discussed seriously. And I agree with Mia that TPE and similar doesn't always seem palatable with some of our members who cant or don't want to imagine that some people will hand over all decision making and rights to another. It's difficult when some of us would like to discuss our darkest fantasies. Cx

As abhorent as sex with children may seem, pedophilia is a culturally-based concept that we have been programmed to see as wrong. The age of majority is arbitrary and varies from culture to culture. In some cultures, as soon as a girl begins to menstruate, her womanhood is celebrated and she is married in order to continue the cycle of life. I'm not trying to start an argument or condone sex with children, just pointing out that everything is relative. Also I wanted to make the point that just because people may think there are some things off-limits that no one ever does, we don't know what people get up to behind closed doors.
