Just been in touch with a few people in Cumbria over an informal get together- a munchlet if you like- and we are considering our options. As I am very keen to get things going again, apart from my pro domme visits, it's been one hell of a long time since I indulged in a non pro relationship and I'm 44 now, so time to get a move on. We are planning on a venue and I am helping out an online domme friend with suggestions.
However, this time it won't be a formal munch announced on IC as we're doing this through Fetlife and know the fate of the two Carlisle munches- one was outed and the other was at a bad time for anyone outside of Carlisle to get to. This is more like an informal meeting in a pub where we can plan things and I can learn more about the scene and meet local kinksters.

I managed to go to every one of the last incarnation of the Cumbria Munch's evenings and I don't even live within 100 miles of Carlisle. The problem isn't the date, it is the sheer reluctance of people to go to events. I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality. |

Having just started the Salisbury Munch I can say that the most difficult part was to find a suitable pub (someone had to do it). However our first munch last week attracted 26 people and the venue is perfect. A delightful pub, off the main drag, but with a large car park adjacent and serves food until 9pm. Had a word with the landlord after the event and he was most welcoming and has no objections to us holding a monthly meeting there and has even offered us use of a private room for occasional events. Choose your pub carefully and make sure the date does not clash with other local munches and advertise strongly on here and Fetlife. Good luck. Sic itur ad astra |

I'm not naming a venue we have in mind, but is a pub that is away from a town centre but is quite easy to get to. |
