Without wishing to get on a soapbox, and I'm no expert - but isn't the Rhino an endangered species? If so, I'm a little confused as to why people would choose to buy a whip made of their hide??? I'm more than happy to be enlightened if I'm wrong? | |||

I'm sitting looking at my antique rhino hide sjambok now. They do turn up occasionally, but you're right, if you find a new one it would certainly be illegal. depends how much you want to spend and what you want to use it for. Alex and Tony are the only 2 that make a half decent leather whip in this country, just be warned they both tend to have around a 6 month waiting list at any one time in my experience at the cheaper end of the market if you don;t mind the whip being made out of nylon.
