I'm considering having my Nipples pierced and would welcome any advice anyone could offer on the subject. I've always enjoyed playing with nipple clamps (particularly the clover leaf ones) and have seen a delightful looking spiral nipple torture device made by fetters (http://www.fetters.co.uk/nipple-whirls-per-pair/ ) which are designed to be used with a piercing (though for short term play could be used with a surgical needle). Edit: Found the same product elsewhere at a quarter of the cost: http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/online_store/ad... I'm mindful that with the sort of use I want from the piercing, that they probably need to be fairly well into the nipple, would that be correct? I'm also interested in recommendations on where to have it done in the Bristol area, cost isn't much of a consideration, I'd rather have them done by someone with decent experience and a clean environment and pay for it accordingly. What sort of healing period would people expect to see, and any after-care advice? How long after piercing would people recommend before playing with them? Cheers all! Have a look on the weblog of @Modified_Bodies group. There's quite a bit of info on there. Hope it helps. x Now where were we? Ah, yes - abject humiliation!

Aftercare is as usual for body piercings, regular saline cleaning and rotating is fine.

Any ideas on the best style of metal to wear? Obviously for the play I'm intending upon doing then a oversized barbell is needed to pick up the coil, and I can see rings being fun for tethering, but presumably different metal will be better for healing, and then potentially again once healed for day to day wear. If I removed them at a later date, do they take long to heal back up again?

I've had my nipples pierced several times, if you take out the piercing, it heals up pretty quickly. ~ It is always by way of pain one arrives at pleasure ~

I would strongly advise getting only one done at a time, with a month between, just to make sure they are what you expect. Obviously all I can suggest is from my perspective, and your nipples are probably very different to mine! Get a consultation with a piercer who will be able to talk you through everything you need to know. (If they can't then dont get it pierced there!)
Type of ring- I think rings are recommended because the shape means they lie flatter against you. However this isn't the case for everyone. I HATE rings in mine, mainly because they just don't seem to come large enough, so they pinch. Its probably easiest to decide which you like and then stick to it until it has completely healed because the different shape piercings will make your nipple heal in a different shape inside- which for some people I know can make changing between shapes uncomfortable. If you want a large piercing then it would be a good idea to tape it to yourself for most of the time, just so you don't get it caught on something and end up minus a nipple Metal- Surgical steel or titanium are the usual materials, avoid anything that you could have a reaction to (cheap alloys, even silver for some people). Removal and re-piercing- I can't even change the piercing quickly enough to stop it from closing up and so putting the bar back through is agonising. So leaving it out for any length of time would be impossible. Its really important to keep it clean. If it does get infected do not take the piercing out since that can cause an abscess. Finally, (again I know its different for everyone) but I thought my nipples were pretty iron-cast, and the un-pierced one is fine, but 6 years in and still if the piercing gets nudged a tiny bit the wrong way I want to curl up and cry, and when I tried clamps I almost passed out in seconds. So although its supposed to be 6months healing time, mine never fully healed in the same way my ears have.
Saying all of that, I can't bring myself to take it out. Please be nice to me

Get them done one at a time and wear titanium. Your piercer will advise on the best positioning - listen to them. Don't count on ever being able to "play" with them, consider it a bonus if you ever do. After 18 months mine hadn't healed properly and had to be taken out, even though I've had other piercings that have healed straight away.

Hrm, interesting, I was tempted to just get them both done at the same time, but not sure now! My nipples (as I'm a bloke) aren't stupidly sensitive, indeed one is less so than the other from what I can tell, but will have to think about the best way forward now! |
