Hi,
I need some help with picking what to wear to Torture Garden. My wife is wearing a nice green rubber dress but i dont look good in rubber. So can anyone please please help me with any ideas? I was thinking of wearing a formal pin striped suit but not sure? Thanks for your help David | |

A military uniform is always good bet for a man, but service dress or mess dress rather than combat dress. I have a clear desk policy. It's the clear floor policy that's eluding me at the moment. | |

Odd that there seems to be a preponderance of kinksters in senior ranks and staff compared with the rank and file. If the UK army had the same ratios as TG then it would make for an interesting war.. He's right. It's a shame because I a) love TG, and b) feel most comfortable in a suit, but them's the rules. You might be ok in a leather kilt kind of thing, or latex always works. I'm thinking of investing in a latex pin stripe suit. Mmm.

There's lots of things you could do. Use face paint or make-up to make you look more bizarre. Go for a punk look or something maybe more gothic or even a cyber look. Freaky comic book styled characters are also good as are film villians. You could go gangster but you would need the shoes,hat, coat and all the gold to make it work. First time I went to TG it was leather kilt and leather look short sleeve shirt with boots picked up from Ebay, but totally agree with the military as being good option or may think about a simple leather/PVC top and trousers which are not quite as exposing as latex and easily available. As for your comment on 'not looking good in rubber' there are so many outfits in every possible cut that if you want to wear rubber (and who in their right mind would NOT want to be in rubber given half a chance?) there will certainly be something you are happy with. I was really unsure about wearing rubber but after a day in London trying things on in Libidex, Regulation, Honour and Breathless, including things where I was unsure about why I was trying them at all (the latex apron and the rubber hood both looked much better than I expected!!) worked out that yes there are some things that don't work on me or that I just don't like but also plenty that do. Good luck choosing.
