So what made you choose it, does it have any personal meaning or significance for you? I chose mine for several reasons 1- It's a goth thing (think of Fenella Fielding as Valeria Watts in THAT red dress..pure gothic vamp..I sooo want to look like that lol..and what a damn sexy voice she had in the film!) 2- Carry on films fan..fnar fnar 3- It seemed a rather apt name for a sites such as this and for a little gothic sub such as me. So that's the reason I chose mine.. Also as a added benefit for my amusement it gives great bdsm cheesy chat up line openers for doms such as........ 'you wouldn't be able to scream with'.. 1-my cock in your mouth 2-my hand over your mouth 3-a gagg in your mouth 4-when I'm done with you and so on and so forth... So your username why did you choose your's?

Your user name is also a song by London After Midnight - so extra goth points!! There's been a few threads asking this question, but I'm a sucker for responding. My IC user name is a bad pun on the expression "tried and tested" but with a bit of a rope/bondage hint in there, for that is one of my favourite things. I'm full of inventiveness. My name is Douglas, but folk call me dougie (being Scottish)....but some (thoughless) sod already had that, so added 159 as my birthday is 15th Sept. Now is that clever and imaginative or what.........maybe not. 178 Don't knock down fences until you know why they were put up. | |

"Fnarr, fnarr ... " - yes, she was quite something. Although Angela Douglas put up some fierce competition ... I chose mine basically 'cos I like making things out of metal, "Blacksmith" was already taken, and I have a startlingly unoriginal mind. | 23 Jan 12, 5:06 PM Renovant UK(CB), 4 yrs |
The etymology of my IC name is rubbish, I had recently read a book in which there was a warship called the 'Revenant' which is French for 'ghost' and I, being young quite like how the word sounded. But I, being young was also lazy and couldn't remember exactly what the word was or how it was spelt, nor could I exude the effort to go find the book. So thus 'Renovant' was born. I've thought of correcting it, but frankly I now like my made-up word as a reminder that I'm not quite as smart as I think I am. x Shoot for the moon. Gabriel..
The name of my favourite Archangel and the one I feel I represent most. http://morningstar.netfirms.com/gabriel.html Fallen.. Cast down to earth from the war in heaven ("The sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose") Angels cast to earth... The Dragon and his angels battle against Michael the Archangel in a War in Heaven. Losing the battle, they are “cast out” of heaven to the earth. The Catechism of the Catholic Church speaks of "the fall of the angels" not in spatial terms but as a radical and irrevocable rejection of God and his reign by some angels who, though created as good beings, freely chose evil, their sin being unforgivable because of the irrevocable character of their choice. Although I am not a strongly religeous man, nor do I claim to be any form of expert, I can appreciate the romance and mythology that certain religeons convey.
I think that pretty much covers it Edited 23 Jan 12, 5:14 PM by Gabriel_Fallen |
