Quite. I call it the smile of death - when you know you've genuinely amused him, but you are going to get it anyway!!

I agree. Mind, sometimes you have to be a bit cheeky to bring it out! It's only a weblog

I've never read anything or seen any suggestion that a Dominant person should have no sense of humour. The fun and freedom that can exist in a relationship is not something to stifle just because it is known as a D/s relationship. The reaction to any situation is always going to be down to the individuals involved and the timing of the moment - as true comedy does have a distinct and appreciable dependence upon timing. Within any play or scene, a good comedy moment can be lurking, aching to burst out. Lsugh and the World laughs with you. Cry and you cry because... Well... just because.

There are times when the reaction is just Lolz. There are times when he just thinks I'm a bit of a bellend and tells me I am a bit of a bellend. Then there's times when I tell him he punches like a girl and naturally he shows me he does not hit like a girl, quite the opposite in fact, and naturally I live to regret saying something so stupid. The reactions are different each time I get my 'brat' on or get cheeky. So in short, whatever feels natural to you both at the time. Obvs.

You've got to be cheeky, obstinate, stubborn and downright rude it's no damn fun otherwise! CarryOnScreaming

There is nothing wrong with a little bit of cheekiness in a sub, although it can change the whole mood for both parties if she does if properly. I am a shortarse, and one day whilst telling her I was not best pleased, I used the phrase "I'm not happy", her response of "well which one are you" did it for me, I couldn't help laughing with her at the joke. The Dominant leads at the Submissives pace!!

Lol, it's a good job you have a sense of humour, other doms may have flipped their lid and been mercilessly cruel instead CarryOnScreaming

No, it's really not like with children. Really not. Or at least, not for me. I can be quite child-like / childish when playing but that doesn't mean that I have a child's (lack of) understanding of where boundaries are and how to get attention. Even if I'm doing an ageplay scene, I am still ultimately an adult doing this for adult reasons. It may well be that 'ignore puerile behaviour' works for both Dom/me and sub in some relationships and some situations, but I dislike the generic 'treat your sub like an infant' meme that occasionally gets round the boards. Enjoying the childlike part of your own personality is NOT always the same as needing to be treated like an actual child. I haven't phrased that very well but I hope it makes sense.

Just adding my part here, I am reknown for being a brat, love me, hate me. My Master is usually amused by it but punishes it as a reminder that just because he has a ssense of humour it doedsn't mean to say I can cutesy my way out of trouble. I'm all too good at that "butter wouldn't melt" face elena x

Cheeky subs. Defiantly. I have a clear desk policy. It's the clear floor policy that's eluding me at the moment. |
