This is to replace all the times I've felt like having a silly rant or a moan. I shall say it with humour instead.  Consent, consent, we all know what is meant, "Yes! Do that to me!" And it's clearly plain for all to see that 'consent' ends in a 't'. But 'consensual' causes all kind of hell, for the 't' has disappeared, and even those who can usually spell may feel a flutter of fear! Consensual is a sensual word, Hear the softly sensual 's', A smooth and silky sort of a word, With 't' is not impressed. I'm the Spelling Police (and grammar too) I know it to be true, But seeing 'consensual' spelt with an 's' stops me feeling blue. These are such important words to us, And come up very often, So I thought I'd write this little rhyme,
