Do All With Access to the World Wide Web A terrible crime is about to hit the internet. The UK government are planning to restrict what we can and can't access over the internet, so it's time to join hands and fight what is only an infringement of your freedom to information. Don't let Big Brother (Bother more like) win. So sign the petition which stops this act:

Yep you're right, but as we know how it goes, American Goverment does something the UK Goverment tries to follow suit. Best to show if you're against it before its too late. Play? | ||

A petition asking any UK government to condemn a proposed US law has damn all chance of being effective. There are issues closer to home. The 2010 Digital Economy Act brought some fairly significant powers in the UK to counter file sharing, putting obligations on ISPs. These include website blocking. Last year BT received a Court Order requiring blocking of Newzbin2 and moves have also been made over Pirate Bay. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/oct/26... BT and Talk Talk are currently submiting an appeal to an unsuccessful high court challenge last year. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article... There is a moral issue associated with copyright, is it right to download an illegal copy of a recent movie? |
