Hello,I have a query that hopefully someone will be able to help me with.I really want to get into working around the fetish/club circuit, but I dont know what kind of work is available,& cant find any info on it anywhere.Id like to do something that would mean I could work in different places & travel a bit, just something different.I know its a bit of a strange question!I am not looking to do any sort of sex or webcam related work,& I have done a fair bit of modelling in the past,& am not really looking to spend any more time in front of the camera.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,no matter how silly you might think they sound!Thankyou for reading.Gem.

If it was me, I would review if I had any sound/lighting tech or makeup/wardrobe-type theatre skills, and how I could improve them.

In all honesty there isn't much. Far too many willing subs. Apart from starting your own club (with luck you might make a bit of money), there's bar work, Lighting and sounds, and a bit of Pro Domming. Owner of The Croppery Dungeon and Breakfast. Organises The St Leonards munch.

I think bigger clubs like TG have PR people and the like? Not sure, also not sure if that would make for much of a travelling role.

Hi Gem It has been really good catching up with you both off and online recently. I really hope you can find what you are looking for with the benefit of the wisdom of the IC massive! For the folks out there - I've already mentioned dance, fire-poi, circus-type skills and burlesque to Gem, but they all require training and/or lots of practice. I think she would be happy with anything in or around the fetish scene that she can do almost immediately, in line with the OP's hard limits of course. I've known her a while and she isn't afraid of hard work, so anything useful you can add would be much appreciated. Regular, irregular - whatever comes - as long as it is paid and puts her in contact with kinksters. Thanks. Think outside the box if you will, but I still have you tied up inside it!

For the simple reason there isn't any real paid work available around the BDSM/Fetish scene. You may get a few quid for helping or performing at an event, eg the LAM, but that's it. Volunteers are always welcome, but you will need a day job. I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality.

Most fetish clubs don't have paid workers, they rely heavily on volunteers who do the work so they can get in free of charge or just because they want to help out. I can't think of any paid job at all within the fetish club circuit that would provide you with what you're looking for. Pro domming seems to be about all that pays within the fetish scene - as far as I know. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Coffee, Cake and Kink were offering internships a while ago, it was on their website. It might be a start!

Are they back up and running? They had paid positions going, too, but then it went very quiet except for a couple open-houses in their offices... As for the OP, I have to agree with the others - if you are looking at events, you are probably looking at volunteering. Most are lucky to cover the venue rent much less pay people. However, there is the PR side - a couple of companies like HandJobs (passing out leaflets, etc). They might look for people occasionally, as maybe representitives to go to events and sell tickets & promote. Or, I know places like TG and Antichrist recruit volunteers in return for passing out cupcakes and the like - it could be that might be a place to start and get to know people and see what is available. Or there are varied charities around who might need some help - the Albert Kennedy Trust is one you don't hear much of, but there are other other more specific BDSM related.

I've had a thought. You want to make any money out of fetish clubs. Get yourself a load of equipment, somewhere to store it, and a big van to lug it all around.
Bingo! Owner of The Croppery Dungeon and Breakfast. Organises The St Leonards munch.
