Just finished watching episode 3 and thought it was pretty good, but there are a few issues with the show. Firstly, I'm not convinced by Martin Freeman as Watson, not having read the originals I can't comment on his role in them, but for the life of me I can't really figure out what he does in the show. He never seems to contribute. Secondly (and geekily), in the Baskerville episode the whole "Maggie" as a password thing was just too easy to get into a top secret site. Having said that, it's still one of the better shows on TV at the moment I and hope they continue to make them. On the topic of good TV shows, keep a lookout for Homeland, coming to C4 in February. Excellent stuff. The new season of 30 Rock got off to a good start too. The singer is a neurotic drinker | |

Loved every minute of Sherlock but was gutted it did only run for three episodes ;-( Very much looking forward to the next series........ Mad Men is the one of the best series I have followed in years.......the plots, the clothes, the men, the women....oh I could go on and on...........waiting with bated breath for it to reappear on our screens.... xxx

but if you had more , then the quality of filler might drop (see Dr Who) , you want more , so when you get it , its all the more special. Both actors are in demand (both for LOTR) and BC's increasing hollywood presence (both were given time off from the hobbitt by the director as he loved SH so). I wouldnt want more , I just wished they hadn't shown he was alive at the end, yes a new series would tell us he is alive , but the reveal needed to be more dramatic.
