Out and about again yesterday with my beloved Master....we drove to a little market town called Skipton where we drank coffee and ate bagels filled with bacon and mushrooms and then had a walk through the market. I was all dressed up for winter in my long thick coat, scarf, long skirt, gloves and boots and Master was wrapped up as well but we were still freezing cold...least the sun was shining a bit and it wasn't raining.
We then got back into the car and drove slowly along country lanes towards a town called Harrogate, even though Im not a fan of winter I did have to admit that it looked pretty, most of the fields were covered in white frost. At Harrogate we parked up and wandered around the town, looked in various shops and then had lunch in a lovely fish restaurant. Master had an enormous fish with chips and mushy peas and I had mussels in a white wine and cream sauce with a side order of chips.
Later on we set off again and found ourselves in yet another market town, Ilkley, where there is a wonderful Yorkshire Tearoom called Betty's. There is one in Harrogate as well but people were queuing outside and I didn't fancy queuing in the cold. There was a queue but it was inside and we got shown to our table after about ten minutes. Master just had a pot of tea but I just cant resist cakes so I looked at the cake trolley and chose a fruit flan which I ate alongside a pot of tea...yum.
It was late afternoon by the time I left my Master and it was just starting to go dark with a spectacular setting sun in the distance. I took my time driving down the motorway to my home and then spent the evening curled up on the sofa watching TV and relaxing after such a busy and enjoyable day.
Had a lie in this morning on Master's instruction cos I seem to be working long hours at the moment. Got up, washed hair and pottered around doing bits and pieces. Dropped my mobile on the wooden floor in my lounge and broke it(the phone not the floor)....mild panic till I found a very old one in a cupboard which still actually works and which I can use till Master takes me to buy a new one. Its as big as a brick and just as heavy but least I can keep in contact with Master and I can use it as an alarm clock.
Well, right now I'm gonna make myself a brew and have a few of the chocolates that my Master treated me to yesterday...back to work tomorrow, groan the weekends don't half fly past so quickly don't they. x
