A film poster of "Ice Cold In Alex"....Well, I say 'poster', it's more a still of the actors in the film....Well, I say 'actors' it's more a still of John Mills and Sylvia Sims...Well, I say 'John Mills and Sylvia Sims', it's more Sylvia Sims on her own...or it will be by the time I've finished with these scissors.

Two litres of Walls 'Cream of Cornish' ice cream and 48 Askey's ice cream wafers.

A tumble dryer off of ebay.

Tumble dryers don't weigh much, thinks I...not much all. I can carry a tumble dryer the 100 yards from the car park and up two flights of stairs easily...tumble dryers don't weigh much at all....I'm incredibly tough and really rather manly....tumble dryers don't weigh much at all...

I made it.

It's sitting outside the bathroom.

That's where it's staying.

I hardly cried at all.

It's ice cream wafer time, (which is like Hammer Time, but without the baggy strides).

Women are from Reigate, men are from Reigate. Not all of them of course, that would be silly, some are from Pimlico, or Cleethorpes, or that little village in Derbyshire whose name eludes me, or Bridlington, or Weston Super Mare, or Clac....

I'm ringing up the producers of 'Dragon's Den' right now.

When I was a kid of 8 or 9, me and my chums went down the launderette with a couple of tanners and took turns getting inside a tumble dryer for a spin.:)

Whenever I read "Sylvia Sims", I always see "Joan Sims".

That's not the same at all, is it?

By the Lord Harry, no it's not the same...though I think Sylvia did some 'Carry Ons' as well as Joan, so it's an understandable mistake.

The easiest way to tell the difference between the pair is; Sylvia (in 'Ice Cold), is the one I've had a lifelong crush on.:)

I waited,(saved myself, even), all my adult life for Sylvia Syms,-circa 1958-,to turn up....she never did, despite all my secret swooning and and sighing.

I don't know if it was worth the wait, but it gave a sense of purpose to my otherwise empty existence
