I call it facearse...and I have a profile on there for stalk...errrr, I mean, necessary and important detective work. (can't tell ya, would have to kill ya an all that)

And I mayyyyy just be a teeeeensy bit addicted to one of their stoopid games. (Although that's wearing off now my brain is finally starting to awaken again).

But updates? God I hate 'em...I have a teeny network on there, but one particular person posts updates on her bloody dinner, pics of effin animals, flowers...random fluffy frippola. And what she's drinking that night...Idon'tfuckincarestoplitteringMYwall. Bah.

No excuse for sending non-consensual "I found a sleeping deer...awww" updates to friends either...you can refuse...just say No people!

I feel...rather strongly about all this. :)

You can hide status updates from certain people.

I post lots of cute kitten pics as *I* like them, if people don't then can just defriend me...simples :-p

I don't know why people get so annoyed about what others post, just block and ignore it! :-D

I dont need to know if someone I once worked with 12 years ago is enjoying their bacon sandwich, or updates of bacon creation from their new 'hilarious' virtual slaughterhouse game.

:)

No worse than the shit I read here tbh :-D

But on here you have to seek out the shit, when you log in you don't get a list of pointless activities boring fuckers are whiling away their time doing. Are you listening Fetlife?

There seem to be loads of different uses, from the what I am eating or drinking to the full on emofests.

I just chuck on mine what I find funny(meaning sick n twisted as possible), even have a private group for stuff that may cause relatives to lose their breakfasts.

What do you lot think of them or use them for?

I use to for a laugh, have fun, maybe play the odd game, staying in touch with friends.

All in all, light hearted stuff. Kind of like here, only less kinky.

I try to keep boring fuckers of my facebook, people deleted and deleting me must be into 3 figures.

People come and people go it is the nature of things but it is useful to keep in touch and with those a distance away.

It's a tool of communication like any other and a modern way to keep those loose connections that have in the past been lost.

Whom you choose to be there is up to you and isn't an indication that that means anything special. Some are there by default and there just to keep the peace and not ruffle their feathers.

The real people and the ones who choose to be in your life and the ones whom have been there for many, many years are the true friends. The ones who have been there through thick and thin, lean and mean times. Those that we fell out with and then returned older and wiser.

Above all it is just a website, a fun one and a useful one but only a website.

It isn't real life.
