Its a repeat. Hubbie was fattening up his wife to the point where she nearly died, and was totally reliant on him for care, was such a creepy guy and no less so on a second viewing. He came across as a man in the grip of his fetish and his wife sadness was palpable. The way he talked about his wife - Gina, in terms of the exact size of her vital statistics, when she was the world's largest model, was disturbing. Although she had gastric band surgery to save her life and had made it clear she did not want to go beyond 30 stone again, the documentary ended with him designing a super size house that could accommodate a large person. He was hoping that Gina would allow herself to increase in weight again. They had an adopted child and yet evidently his wife's worsening health, and the possibility their daughter would lose a mother, was less important to him than his obsessions. The line between fetish and pathological behaviour is an interesting one. I felt he applied immense psychological pressure, justification and emotional manipulation in enabling his wife's life threatening size. It may be how the documentary was framed and cut but the fact of Gina nearly dying and suffering substantial health problems that can not be reversed as a consequence of him practically force feeding her, speak for themselves. Having seen her on deaths door, he wants her to risk it again, so he can wank over her folds of flesh, on his videotapes?????? It was also very telling when Gina said 'he is not the kind of man to be alone'. Too right, on this presentation he certainly appeared as someone who would be seeking a replacment to fatten up, not long after his wife had been laid to rest. He conveyed to her repulsion when she reached 30 stone and yet idolised her when she was too large to be able to walk. His justification was that he made a fat girl feel accepted! That he had to feed her if she said she was hungry, which was crap as he chose calorific food and he also sewed sweets into her night attire, when he sent her clothes into the hospital where she was on a life support machine. Undermining all her efforts to get well. Distressing.

Is it any different to getting a vulnerable person dependent on drugs, turning them into a junkie, so they are dependent on the Dom to provide their drugs? It's Abuse. |

Are you feeling masochistic? I couldn't get past the trailer... I'm not a fan of the modern televised 'freak show'. I get they can be compelling but I feel a bit dirty watching them and not in a good way! What do you want from me? |
