Well i watched it today , what a cracking hour, some fantastic songs , some shockers too . 1977 for me was a good year til the 8th of December when my dad got remarried . Fuckin hell i have never seen anyone change as fast in my life as my witch of a step mum , from okayish to a absolute crackpot psycho in weeks so from then til 1984 it was prett ydown hill .

Anyhows back to TOTP 1977 , took me back to 7.00 or was it 7.30 on a thursday and the wait to see who was on , i was just getting interested in legs n co about then . Today i saw some bands i had forgot about , that lass out of The Adverts who was a real fox , bit of Boney M singing live and rather badly , Boomtown rats a shocker with by Joy Sarney and Punch in it called "Naughty naughty " .

Lots of secrets revealed , a very cool Bowie singing "Heroes" The Stranglers trying to cop the dancers and good old Johnny Mathis .

Took me back , not sure if it seems along time ago or not .

Anyhows here is the Joy Sarney tune for those who are brave enough and can remember ! Yes i am ashamed i looked it up on the tube and i will burn in hell , i am really sorry !

Good god we really did used to dig those special effects ... and Jimmy Saville ... and Legs & Co (I really wanted to be in Legs & Co when I grew up). Put me on a pedestal, but be there to catch me if I fall.
