to get a bit obsessed? I'm new to the 'scene' and have only really been looking into it seriously for the past month or so. But now im a little obsessed. Constantly reading blogs, books, posts. Thinking it over in my mind, while im working, watching tv even sleeping. Please tell me this is normal?

Of COURSE it's normal!! It is sliding down that slippery slope into perversion, until every visit past a hardware shop has you wanting to check out their chain and seeing clothes pegs makes you test them for ouchiness.... Just wait until that time when you can generally think of a way make anything pervertable, and you've reached your destination.
Welcome to the dark side. @Play_Space - Next party is Friday, January 6, 2012 and the first Friday of every month!

Perfectly normal. Kid in a sweet shop syndrome. Take advantage of your enthusiasm to learn/absorb as much as you can. Try to get out into the real world though to intereact with like minded folk at munches etc...if you possibly can. Hopefully you will continue to enjoy your time here and not become as sad and jaded as some seem to do. Live, learn, love. I wish you the best in all of them. jules.x

100% normal Do give yourself a bit of time to reflect on things by yourself.....as you explore.. you can get carried away... Tathagata Buddha, the Father Buddha said "with our thoughts, we make the world"......well I bet he never had to build a flippin' shed!

No, you evil depraved pervert! NONE of us get obsessive, we hardly ever come here at all, merely to keep in touch with people who HAPPEN to be a bit kinky (I'm not kinky meself, but I know a few that are!)
S'there.
BRB, just got to check my fetlife page Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

If you're anything like me, there's been a side of you that's wanted to try this since before adolescence, but you filed that side away under 'undesirable' and maybe tolerated it as a perverse fantasy while getting on with your normal life. It's like you've been winding up a rubber band for years, and the first few months of release have quite a twang to them. You may get to a stage where most of your thoughts are related to your newly found interest, and I suppose at that point, you can call it an obsession. It's harmless as long as it isn't detrimental to your health, personal relationships or career. If it looks to be encroaching too heavily onto any of those, then you may need to re-evaluate your priorities. As long as it isn't, then don't worry and be happy.

Normal ??? not wishing to sound off, but define normal..no such thing. As the replies say..enjoy your thoughts, ditch the word normal and soon, having your butt spanked in sainsburys will be old hat. Edited 6 Jan 12, 9:04 PM by xAdamx |
