As some of you may have seen in the previous 'interest check' thread for Hatfield posted around on Fetlife, there will be a new munch starting in the area, welcoming both students from the university and anyone else from the area! The first event will be held on the 24th of January at The Red Lion in Hatfield. The pub is situated just opposite Hatfield train station along Great North Road, and also has a spacious free car park for those wanting to drive. The bar offers reasonably priced food and real ales. The munch will begin at around 8pm, though I will be there from about half seven to welcome any early arrivals. If you have trouble finding us, we will be sat with an A to Z on the table, and there will also be a phone number if you'd like us to meet you at the door (drop a message to my inbox for the phone number!) There is no dress code for this event as it is a regular pub, though please don't dress in anything that might terrify the locals and/or barstaff! its an interesting date as there is a WGC munch the day after..

although this conversation has already taken place on Fetlife, I am happy to say that I plan to attend both! You can't have enough munches within half an hour drive of home. DOM-estics.co.uk

Yeah, we're aware of the clash and everything has been resolved for next month, the date will be shifted in February to avoid the clash. I've been in contact with the organiser of the WGC munch and apologised profusely, don't worry! There are a few more on FL saying they'll attend than on here, yes.
