Its interesting that the title has ** to hide the word cunt in the title then in the main body cunt was used. Seemed a tad pointless and inconsistant to me and as if the poster could not make up their mind either way. Its also changes to names like that which I find really unintellegent and petty and tend to switch off reading as the author has lost any respectable crediability in my opinion (but I digress) I did reply to the blog but then found out that the blog was sensored with lines through it so I deleted my contribution. I dont reply to blogs which are initially censored and as it was quite a thoughtful entry I wonder if admin can arrange for posts to say if replies are censored or not so you dont waste your time making a contribution. (separate thread on the admin board me thinks) ! Cookie - I think that my sign off is applicable in your case as in I may not agree with you but you have a right to an opinion and to express it (as long as its not 'hate rage etc) **edit to spell censored correctly
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. Edited 5 Jan 12, 2:47 PM by rehtael_ni_dal

Found this by a special needs teacher.. http://www.fullduplex.org/tardblog/ Justification... "Why do you use the word "tard?" Isn't this a horrible thing to call them? We decided on the word "tard" mainly because it is not a word. We picked it for this reason, and thus we can assign our own meaning to the word "tard." When using "tard" we no not mean necessarily mean "retarded," "stupid," "slow," or any other such word that carries a negative connotation with it. We did not call this the "Retard Blog" or the "Really Stupid Kid Blog" because that is not what it is. This is a journal that is written about the daily happenings in a special education/behavioral disorder classroom. The children in Riti's class have a myriad of issues, and no two are alike. Some fit under the conventional definition of "mentally retarded," or "developmentally impaired," if you prefer that term. Some are autistic. Some have highly developed neuroses. Others simply have run-of-the-mill behavioral disorders. We are assigning the word "tard" to all of them as a way of classifying all of them together. For instance, when Riti says something about "her tards," she is referring to everyone in her class. From an entomological perspective, the definition of "tard," as we use it, could be something as follows: tard: n., A student in a class that is set aside for children with some sort of special need, e.g. metal retardation, autism, behavioral disorders, etc, generally referred to as Special Education classes. If you think it is a derogatory word, then that is your problem, not ours, and reflects the biases and issues you bring to the table, not us. " http://www.fullduplex.org/tardblog/tardfaq.html And I wasn't even referencing people with special needs.

I've long since stopped posting to that group which I have in the past referred to as "Uninformed Opinion" It basically is an ego trip group for the moderator and one of her friends I first lost interest after the moderator memoed me after a rather uninformed post from someone on a topic I had posted to which I chose to ignore. The contents of her memo were basically that she EXPECTED me to respond to the posting!! ^Thunder^ Edited 6 Jan 12, 11:25 AM by x_Thunder_x

You may have a point. With about 6 regular contributers and about 80% of the threads about theology its no real loss. Half of those dont know the difference between scientific terms and political jargon. With open access to anyone with an axe to grind the "Informed" part is always going to be a bit ironic.

I don't know the ins and outs of this incident and have only briefly skimmed the links, but I would like to say: If you are going to insist on civil decency in thread titles then "Liberal Democunts" does not count, and makes you a hypocrite. (Nobody is more anti-Liberal Democrat than me, and I find the title lacking in decency). Therefore: If someone has decided to ban you, it would make me extremely skeptical of their level of integrity. To write a blog about the banning, makes me even more suspect.

It's a form of bullying, if that's what you intend to do then be out and proud about it, don't hide behind the pretense of it being serious "informed debate", because it is not.
