Due to a thread about munches in East Anglia I had a look in the Munches listing pages to see if there were any munches listed using the postal region bit at the top left and nothing showed up. I decided to check if there was anything for Edinburgh (EH) and again nothing showed, yet the Edinburgh Munch and the Edinburgh Lunch Munch are listed. It would appear none of the region searches work with the Munch listings page. I edited the Edinburgh Munch listing to see if the postal region has been added, it hasn't. It doesn't work on the Clubs page either. Is it me as I have noticed FastestFox does interfere with the odd aspect of IC? It works fine for me.
Are you able to disable that plugin and try it? Or are you setting the distance range to 0 miles? The postal locations for some of the listings are finer grained than the big postal areas used for threads etc so choosing the 5 or 25 mile range is better. I have found the problem. Searching within 0 miles gives you no results for clubs or munches, but gives you lots of results for people. Similarly 0 mile radius of Manchester gives lots of results with the Manchester Web Board Topics, but no results on the Munches page. A post code is entered for both types of listing and used for one, but not the other. I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality. | ||

No, a post code is entered for the listings but only a postal area for the topics, personals etc. It's a subtle point, but the the default distances for the listings start with 5 miles not 0 miles. Admin Remember: it's only a website |
