I was going to suggest the same thing - Fizz uses the Find My Friends App, and although it unfortunately has a small delay so isn't perfect for tracking purposes it does the job...and at least she knows that when I say I've left the office and am on my way home, I'm actually on my way home .

Most other smartphones have similar apps - such as using Google's own latitude service on the Android.

The benefit of these is that you have to 'approve' each follower so they are 100% consensual.

Or you could just use the iPhone app
