Can anyone tell me how can i rate pics on a members profile page. As it seems that everytime i click to rate pics on a profile page i get every sort of pic except the ones i want to rate. What am i doing wrong? | ||

Nothing. You have come across one of IC's anomalies: You cannot vote for your friend's pictures, but you can for their event. I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality. | ||

yeah you can't do that, in the interests of being Fair. Same sa you can't know who's the picture is, until after you've voted. [pi] ...It seemed like a good idea at the time... | ||

With the picture rating we have the opportunity to have "blind" voting, just based on the picture without the name of the photographer etc shown. If you're still going on about the voting for events in the UK BDSM Awards, there isn't a way to have blind voting about events. But you're wrong that people didn't have the opportunity to vote about their friends pictures: there was a category for photographers, and it was won by WykD_Dave, who also has the highest rated pictures when people are voting blind. Much as I admire WykD_Dave and enjoy his pictures I think it is a pity we don't see a greater variety of pictures in the highest rated section. I think a time limit for pictures to be in the highest rated, e.g. 30 days, would allow other pictures in. Carol Dee rope enthusiast Forum Bondage | ||

It's funny you should mention this, as this change has gone live tonight, with the Top Pictures page now grouping pictures by profile. This means a single profile can now only show its 5 top pictures on the Top Pictures page. This change does highlight people with more than one profile, and we're going to ask them to choose which profile they want to appear on the Top Pictures page once the change has settled down. We may also ask people to avoid putting the same picture up for rating with more than one profile (eg the photographer and model try to avoid enabling rating for the same picture on their two profiles.) Liking this idea. I don't look at the top pictures very often, but when I have done I've been surprised to see a few examples of the exact same picture appearing twice, then saw it was once by the photographer and once by the model. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | ||

Hmm I was just going to ask why some of my photos had had the ratings "switched off" including a number that had been at 99 % and ratings were disabled (I've enabled again but not sure why "someone" disabled them Edited 4 Jan 12, 2:29 AM by ThunderPix | ||
