I think you have to renew the page, to make the red band flash up? Try toggling between 2 pages, such as Thread and Blog? I have found that when shifting the view-screen, when I come back to a page the red band signals. So if you *stay* on one page, it might not appear. T. | |

Thanks for the suggestion but that definitely isn't it. I had been flicking between pages quite regularly.
Also the Memo red band and flag appears without refreshing pages but the Message band usually doesn't appear even when the page is refreshed. I have to go to the chat page to see that a new line has appeared. It's really a bit less than helpful. I'm on Firefox. Anyone else getting this? Weird | |

I also get this problem frequently whilst using firefox. Besides clearing my cookies (which helps occasionally but not always), I haven't found anything that fixes this problem :/ (Sorry that's really not helpful! Hoping to see someone with a solution on here myself) Beauty is only skin deep, ugly goes straight to the bone. | |

It seems to be quite variable. Maybe will have to move off Firefox then. Damn... had finally got used to it  |
