Question for my network: Photographers at events, yes or no?
This would be in a private room, not someone 'snapping' around the venue. The FSSC has resisted so far but it seems increasingly popular.
Loc & I would appreciate your views, thank you.

If you have a limit of 100 people, do you have the spare room to use up for a photographer when it sacrifices play space? I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality.

Yep, we have 5 'bedrooms' that will not get the use they'd normally have on a swingers night (I'd imagine!). Not huffy or stuffy, nor tiny or tall,
But fluffy, just fluffy, with no brains at all.

In a sectioned off area, i cant see the harm, as you said it is becoming somewhat of a trend. As long as said photographer is trustworthy and the pictures will be for the sole use of the people in them unless an agreement is reached between the photographer and any person/persons in the picture. In general I would say no however if you have spare, discrete capacity for a photographer to take up then I see no reason why not. I came into this world with nothing

Eric, this would be a room aside from the main play area, we do have the space to sacrifice as it's not a room suitable for kit. Remember the room to the left at Nem2, as you came in - a bit like that arrangement. Insanity, we've approached someone who is well known and respected in the scene, does this for a living, so discretion will not be an issue: http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/p/Thesecretsmil... There would be no pressure for anyone to use his services and the costs will be absorbed by the FSSC, not passed on to our Guests, should we decide to run with it. Not huffy or stuffy, nor tiny or tall,
But fluffy, just fluffy, with no brains at all.

As long as it is an a well controlled designated area, separate from the rest of the club. No photos are taken out of that area and the only reason to be in the area is for photography, then I think it is a very good idea and can really enhance an event. Gary xxx. Just follow the principle of Informed Consent in this matter and you can't really go wrong.

I am much more worried by the casual way people are allowed to take their phones out and wave them around. You could get your phone out, take a picture and have it on Flickr in under 5 seconds. Why do people need to take their phones out? Is there some reason BDSM people only buy phones which don't have any way of indicating an incoming communication other than by being looked at? My phone at homes rings when it needs attention. I have the perfect accent for conflict resolution, shame about the personality.

The joys of running an event in a swingers club. Phones live in lockers. Period. And it's well policed by the venue staff. Not huffy or stuffy, nor tiny or tall,
But fluffy, just fluffy, with no brains at all.

They have an optional photographer at Lash and yes its nice to get a good pick to use on profiles or no as you like. Some do some don't use it so if you have the room and its by choice then why not. No matter how you try you just can't fix stupid! |
