Not the best of years, this one just gone.
As with other years there's been some highs and some lows, all in all likely more lows than highs, but even with my mother passing early in December I would have to say all in all this year has finished really well for me.
There are three main reasons for the high to finish with, a new dog, he's a real little star ! Oddly enough he's also the first dog I've come across that actually likes roast parsnips, I'd have put money on his not eating one, but I'd have lost it. As we get to know one another more and more he is so expressive, he may not have barked as yet, but he leaves you in no doubt exactly what he's after. Thinking about it, perhaps he's crossed with a pointer 
Then there is another high, would seem I have a new Lady in my life and very welcome she is too 
Then there's the weight loss effort, the last weigh in before Christmas and I finally cracked the 75lbs barrier, ok I've put 2 lbs back on over Christmas, but that will come off again in the next week or so I hope.
Health wise its been a pretty crap year and I'm starting the new year on steroids but I figure, things can only get better 
So to all that know us, we say Happy New Year and we wish you all that you wish for yourselves.
