Why do electrics crossing the chest on someone who may have a pre-existing heart problem, with admittedly relatively low risk factor but if it does go wrong they're potentially a heart attack victim and/or dead, when one can get so much more of a buzz from doing electrics elsewhere and amping up the psychological and physical aspects. Like taking a slave to opera in electrics with the noise option on so that it zaps them with loud noise and applause. Or as a Mistress holding the remote and having them worship Mistress's breasts whilst turning up the electrics through the duration of their kisses. So much more of a turn on, than being just stupid and dangerous by crossing the heart, where really the pay-off is just not that good.

My question then just becomes... Why not do both?

What we're basically talking about here - as to why people do this, is fear. It's the anticipation and the "what if" factor which keeps it so terrifying... And thrilling So if you attach the electrics across the chest with the noise option, at the opera... Well, personally, I don't think that's too scary because you go there expecting noise. But if it were done at home, around a quiet house... It would certainly be strong encouragement not to cause anyone to shout at you, or to accidentally drop a plate wouldn't it!? The sub then lives in fear of making a mistake. Actually, I rather like that idea... I may have to use it.

As I mentioned, while I think it's positive to educate and warn people of the dangers and advise them not to - if they decide they are going to and want advice, shouldn't you give it?

It's exactly the same as the old giving contraceptives to kids debate - isn't it best to educate and supply contraceptives, rather than ignore the situation, so they go off and do it unprotected?

You can't stop people experimenting with this stuff, so the best you can do is make sure they're as educated as possible in case they do decide to do it regardless.

Your correct!

In the most selfish terms if the educated don't share their experience, people will experiment without knowledge of the risks. Which will whip up a media frenzy and force legislation on everyone.

A Politician and a Pop star both had a alleged quick 'suffo-wank' on their own and died, we all know the story. Yet people still do that in hotel rooms on their own around the world! The education and knowledge of the danger is there and people choose to ignore it.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink...

Is this the bit I'm looking at

Funny how no one can cite a documented case.

No I think the reference was to these kinds of cases of home-made electrics, which the Dom tried on his sub previously and got away with but on this occasion caused death... http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2008/...

Both mains voltage. Not TENS, E-stim, Violet wands.

So, we all know the risks of mains electricity. What's your point?

Does being pro alter your perception on what you will and wont do with regards safety?

I don't think so. I tend to do stuff that some think is too risky.

What you say makes good sense to me Lady Louella and I appreciate your generosity in sharing the benefits of your experience. Being dom doesn't mean I have nothing more to learn - on the contrary. For instance, I'd like to know more about how to fully and firmly gag someone without risking their asphyxiation, but don't consider trial and error to be a favourable option, so I'm glad to pick up any pearls of wisdom scattered hereabouts.
