Tuesday 28th February, doors open 7:00 pm to midnight.

UPDATED DETAILS **no buffet**

The third Coventry Play Party. Roman theme and Bring and Buy.

This month we will have a bring and buy stall where you can bring kink items you would like to sell, and maybe spend your proceeds on some things you would like to buy :)

A commission of 10% will be charged on items sold and we will use the proceeds to pay someone a token amount to man the stall after which any "profit" will be given to charity.

The venue/event comprises of the following -

- large discrete private carpark with CCTV. This is not overlooked if you wish to arrive dressed.

Ground floor

- large social area - ample comfortable seating - fully licenced bar with a wide range of soft drinks including tea and coffee - pool, pinball, cash machine - covered heated smoking area

First floor

- 30 foor by 40 foot dungeon area, extremely well equipped.

- Host/Organiser - @Visualize

- House Dommes - TBC

Entry contribution is reduced to £5.00 to reflect the fact THERE IS NO BUFFET THIS TIME.

Remember, this is a private party, so you MUST be on the list to come in.

We seek to make this event appealing to people who are new to the scene, so we expect and politely insist that all play be mild to moderate and all guests behave respectfully and responsibly. The venue is not licenced for genital nudity.

Dress code is a smart casual all the way through to dress to impress.

The event organiser is @Visualize, co-host of the Coventry Munch.

If you would like to come along, please add yourself and the numbers for your party ideally to the thread or by private memo. If you choose private memo we will not publicise that you are going.

If we don't know you or dont recognise your network then we might be in touch to check that you understand the nature of the event and that you will enjoy it and we will enjoy your company :)

Assuming all goes to plan you will receive the directions to the venue via memo.

The doors open at 7pm. We staff the doors up until 930pm. If you know you be later than that, please text the mobile phone to let us know - you are very welcome to arrive when you can, we just try to make sure the door staff get chance to play as well and also that we dont exceed the comfortable limit for the venue.

Please don't arrive after 930 without letting us know - we do need your dosh to cover costs so it is not an invitation to come in free of charge - even amongst 70 plus people, we will notice as we make the greatest of efforts to get round and talk to our guests, so by 930 we know exactly who is in :)

If you are daunted by the entry cost, please get in touch by memo - putting on these events is a lot of work for the organisers and we do sometimes need help - if you are prepared to do a few hours of work we may be able to accomodate it )

For the Feb event, Firstly an announcement. After the setup for the january one took us much less time than the first one, (we get better, faster, stronger,LOL), I am nudging the opening time back from 730 to 700pm. This gives a solid five hours of play time for the hardiest.

Now a bunch of questions and requests.

I would love some feedback regarding food for February. A number of people have asked for the hot food to continue until April - we can do that if you are all happy for the price to go back to £7 or we can reduce the price to £6 which do you prefer? I am happy to sort something out for hot food if the demand is there but it does add to the costs and set up time.

Secondly, traders - do you want them in Feb, or should we do traders every other time? I know they want to come back, but it does eat into the seating area quite badly and, after all, traders have their own costs to cover and if they are not selling because you didnt fancy their wares in january then will you be likely to buy in February?

Thirdly, would you like a "bring and buy" second hand stall - somewhere for people to sell things they no longer need and buy things that others have for sale? Would you bring things to sell for a commission (50p small items and £1 for larger items)? The commission would be used to pay someone to man it until 10pm, when the other stall holders pack up.

Fourthly, please help us to keep the event successful and viable by encouraging your friends to go and promoting it on the various fet sites - I was chuffed to bits with the turn out for January given everyone was broke after Christmas and it proves that we have a winning event on our hands here, but attendance is going to vary and the event needs a reliable fifty plus each and every month to cover its costs and also to ensure there are enough people there to play with and for it to be busy enough to have that busy feel good atmosphere....

Thank you to everyone who came and keeps coming back - events are made by the people who attend :)

I'm personally not bothered by whether there is food there or not. It's nice to have it on offer, but I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there, so not a deal breaker. I tend to pick if there is food at events rather than have a full on feast, so if I had to choose I would prefer nibbly stuff to hot meal type catering.

I also don't care if there are traders there or not. I don't go to events to buy kit, so whilst I might have a browse, I'm unlikely to spend anything. Too many traders would take up valuable space, so I guess just keep a balance?

(I know that was a very nothing kind of opinion, but if you only get for and against then it skews the stats!!)

The one who claims to be innocent - who wants to test the claim?

Firstly, love 7pm start! Food- my lady and I loved the curry-so hot for us, please. Traders-agree with you, it was nice to look, but we didn't buy, and it would have been better with more seats available[maybe in the summer they could stand outside?] A bring and buy stall would be good [under the stairs or upstairs, maybe?]. We thought the atmosphere was good this time, so please don't monkey around too much with a basically brilliant product. Will definitely tell anyone who will listen how good this night is; best of luck to you. Hope to be here again next time-dying to play if I can pluck up the courage and if I have any clean pants [only joking!!}

Thanks for all the kind comments and suggestions - getting lots of response to the questions by memo and on fetlife as well which is good.

So far the balance of opinion is that many people favour hot food and traders but maybe not quite so many traders to free up a little more seating. The bring and buy stall also looks like it could be a winner :)

I am going to hang on another week to see if any more feedback is forthcoming, but most people seem to like it as it is which is excellent :)
