In a lot of Schwarzenegger films he lights up a biggun as a sign of power after dispatching the baddies. But then in the pre smoking was bad for you days in Hollywood there was a whole code of seduction and power to do with smoking. Also the big cigar is associated with the plutocrat, luxury living and characters like Churchill so there is a whole power association going on there.
