My thoughts are going out to everyone who has had sad news this Yuletide; to those who are looking after sick relatives; to those who are struggling with debts and/or out of work.
Master, your slut is particularly thinking of you. After a rotten christmas in 2010, 2011 looks no happier for you, and I wish your mother a speedy recovery.
