It was mothers funeral today and it passed without any incident.
It was a nice service which mom had planned herself, one poem was read that I'd not heard of before, "Life goes on" by Joyce Grenfell, it did in a way sum up moms outlook on life and her own passing.
One friend thought me a little crazy as I chose to walk back from the church alone, it was a journey mother and I made many times in past years and to my own thinking it seemed appropriate.
Many years ago when the whole family lived here or close by, there was a Christmas tradition we all went to the Christmas eve carol service, as the family members moved away it dwindled to just mother and I and it was our way to walk, so to me in seemed right to walk back today and I enjoyed the time to reflect, to take the route we had taken many times before and to think on the good times.
Now Christmas beckons again, this one will be tinged with a little sadness, but also with joy in the new lady friend that travels here on this Thursday coming.

I'm really pleased your good memories prevailed today, albeit tinged with sadness. "The most powerful sexual organ in the body is our brain, open your mind and allow your fantasies free reign. Mutual pleasure between consenting adults is a wonderful thing." |

Glad today went well, Pete. New beginnings for you now xxx Not huffy or stuffy, nor tiny or tall,
But fluffy, just fluffy, with no brains at all. |
