I started watching this last night thinking it was going to be another Rambo-esque romp. But it's actually a bit gory so I lost interest.
However for the people who like the hitty-fisty thing then there are a few moments that might be of interest, women being punched and a female waterboarding scene.
There were probably more but it's not really my thing to sit through. I thought I'd mention it as it's not obvious from the overview what the content is, particularity as overt scenes of violence against women are almost non existent in mainstream cinema.

That cast list is a perfect storm of everyone I try to avoid in the film world (although, on second scan, Gibson is missing). But your post makes me really want to watch it. The dilemma is making my brain hurt. Can you make up a 'digest' of the juicy bits and post them on Youtube, pretty, pretty please? ETA: Nice to see Lt. Batista (no relation) getting out and about though. "He took a single sip of her pain and found it exquisite" Edited 18 Dec 11, 9:39 AM by Mad_Monk |

its a shit film but for a little brain in neutral action it's fun to quote a friend "I have no desire to copulate with giant wobbling fatsacks" |

Watched the first ten minutes. I gave up when the 'good guys' open automatic fire on a room full of hostages and only hit the 'bad guys'. I am not against suspension of disbelief but you got to give me something to hang on to.
OTOH, if there are women getting waterboarded, maybe I should be more tolerant and open-minded and check that scene out... Does she get a wet t-shirt? There is no right and wrong when it comes to sex ; only informed consent... |

I might have to have a look, even though I'm a girl about gore. There are other shit films made just about tolerable by a bit of yummy violence to pretty ladies - Watchmen is a case in point, with Carla Gugino getting punched up a storm. I watched that scene several times. The rest of it is hopeless though. (And I speak as someone with previously endless tolerance for comic adaptations and super-hero films generally) |
