Possible i suppose. there's a reason for that though, but not for me to divulge. Still... i don;t suppose it is unheard of for relationships that span oceans to occur and for their Doms to have access to their accounts. wouldn't that result in accounts being deleted left right ad centre? Sub lives in US, Dom likes in UK, loggs ito her account (with her permission of course) and boom. flagged and deleted. Of course i do not have a copy of any corrospondance between her and FL so i am only guessing at best. only an account of what it contained as relayed via video call on Skype.

IC is predominantly UK-based, and I imagine sticks to the laws applying in the UK. Fetlife is world-wide, so again I imagine they stick to the the lowest common denominator in terms of rules (which is probably the USA in that they seem to have the least tolerant legislation for sexual matters - and no, I can't prove that, just an opinion) FWIW I'm a Moderator on another world-wide site, and we have a very strict policy on under-age participation. We look at posts and those that appear to be from under-age people (21) are challenged and sometimes deleted and the user banned. This is at the request of the site owner, who does not wish to be legally challenged in any jursidiction for promoting sexual matters to under-age people. It is unfortunate that there is such a disparity in ages across the world, where sexuality may be discussed openly. Whether such infractions are genuinely illegal is debatable, but the actions of FetLife in the case of the OP are simply a matter for the owner of the FetLife site. As has been said, if you don't like the rules of the site, don't participate. be a switch, double your fun

well I got an answer from Mr Baku on the topic.
Good to know that there is at least SOME security involved in it all. I wonder if all of this is generally pointed out in emails requesting ID of any sort though.

If you want to get legal advice, consult a lawyer directly, but be prepared to get your wallet out. If you want to boast about being a 37 year old man who has seduced an 18 year old online come out and say it directly. If you want to deal with the issue, engage with the website, rather than posting on an alternate site with an "oh so terrible" tale. Their site, their rules....if its meant to be I am sure you will find a way to work around this huge inconvenience to your blossoming cross-atlantic tale. Be sure and keep us posted...a community holds its breath.

No doubt the OP has written proof that the person he is having this cyber relationship with is indeed 18 and not the age she "fortunately" looks and is aware of Fetlife's obvious concern about the penalties for "Grooming" ^Thunder^

For example, in Section 3: "If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or BitLove Inc. has a reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, BitLove Inc. has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Products and Services."
I was thinking more of claiming they lived in California, whilst continually using the account from Africa.
