The Leeds Library Munch is held at

The New Conservatory, Albion Place, Leeds LS1 6JL

The next event will be on Friday, 25th November at 7:00PM, running through to the early hours for those who have the stamina! The scene is really vibrant in West Yorkshire, and this is a chance to catch up with all those lovely folk you may have missed or met elsewhere. People come to visit from all over the region and it's a great way to join a genuinely-welcoming scene.

This is a relatively new munch, but the events so far have had a lovely and friendly atmosphere. The venue makes us feel very welcome, and even let us hold an impromptu "munch" recently when the previous venue for Wildcats closed.

In order to give space for Wildcats and the Leeds Free Munch to grow, we're trying out a Friday night event, and if the format proves successful then it is likely to continue.

Come and join us! We're very friendly, and the venue is amazing - with a lovely mix of library chic and 30s colonial decor, the bar has a wide selection of the usual drinks at very reasonable prices, starting at under £3 a pint. There are also snacks and food available for those who want to grab a bite.

In a departure from the trend for cakes at munches, we're going for a cheese and wine theme! Crackers and some cheese will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favourite fromage and find out what others like.

If you'd like a meet and greet, please send me a memo :-)

A shame that it's on the same evening as 'Drinks in York'. I like cheese.

The older I get the more I recall... how little I knew when I knew it all.

Yes Eric, 'tis rather a clash. Thanks for the link.

DiY is also posted here on IC: DiY - Drinkies in York

We'll try and get you some cheese so you're not missing out!

I'm looking forward to this, and not just because I like cheese too! I think the clash is a one-off because of the venue being closed on the normal weekend for decoration, but @Velvet_Rose is the one to talk to about that.

And to paraphrase @Ken_Sub, this will be my first time, so be gentle ;-)

I had a great time!

This looks like a fantastic new munch, and the library atmosphere was really fun, giving it an intimate feel. Cheese and cracker goodness definitely looks like a winner :-)

Looking forward to future events on this one - well done to the librarian!
