I noted a post on another thread which mentioned that the poster had changed the way he used IC because the layout of the site has changed. I think the way I use IC now has changed and I get far more out of it. I use the updates, threads and blog buttons more whereas before I largely only noticed threads started in my stalking list. So now I inflict my nonsense far more frequently. Has anyone else noticed a change in their IC behaviour? I'd be interested to hear other good v bad thoughts on the current layout too. Na, not really. I still flick around all over the site at 100 miles an hour. It is not what you say or do but the way you say or do it

I use it more from my mobile because it's less of a pain on a tiny screen. In fact I think on most of the computers I use I've switched to mobile view. All good. An improvement most ways round. Font size could still go up a bit, though hitting that balance for all users is a job I wouldn't want to take on. -------------------

I just tried this. When I view it in smartphone mode on my computer the page no longer has the annoying grey band down each side of the page. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edited 21 Nov 11, 10:06 PM by Rhoobarb

I still read the boards and blogs in the same amounts as before, although I find the new layout harder to navigate. I tend only to click on 4 things now - following, threads, blogs and groups. I find other things have less priority now due to the way the profile layout has changed. For example, I rarely seem to look at anyone's network just out of curiosity these days, or their other photos, or their old blogs or posts, as it's in the lower half of the profile and involves scrolling down ... and as for my profile views ... I just can't be bothered to look for it anymore, the text is too small. Put me on a pedestal, but be there to catch me if I fall.

Yes. I used to use the rate pictures thing to help get pictures approved - since pictures are no longer approved in that way I don't bother with rating any more. I like the "Threads" link, and use that a fair bit as it gives me all the stuff I'm usually going to be looking at, and I've found the new link "Updates' can be interesting too as it can find me stuff I'd not normally have read. I don't use "Following" at all and I don't like the look of the page entitled "Boards", I much prefer "Threads".
And now, thanks to the post above ^^ I can read IC without having a big grey border down each side of the window! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You only exceed the ic speed limit because you hope someone will stop you with a stinger. You'll get a nosebleed at those speeds. Click back a couple of warp factors, smell the roses, or summat.

You seem to have started a trend - or at the very least made @Rhoobarb's day

It's stopped me from spending time rating and validating pictures. I don't like the new system. For some reason I spend more time on the blogs and less on the boards now. And it's easier to see what my friends have posted on. So, yes, it's changed how I use IC, but not radically. Constructed almost entirely of filth.
