I've been meaning to blog since Sunday but I've been headachey, sleepy, droppy and then busy ![]()
Lovely lovely feedback again, thank you. It's a strange experience for Loc and myself because we sit on the front desk greeting people and don't really get a handle on what's going on until the doors close at 10.30. Whilst we KNEW the numbers that had passed through the door, we had no idea what those numbers looked like in context!
I'm chuffed to bits you all had a great time, with some really special highlights for me; watching newbies take their first tentative steps, and a couple of people returning to the scene after years away.
I've copied this from a reply to a blog by @All_of_me (cos I'm a lazy git) as I think it says it all:
| We've tried really hard to make the event 'different'. I think it's fortunate we've mostly come from a customer service/marketing background so we know what it takes to make feel people valued, confident, at ease. I'm sure it's possible (and no doubt will happen, now we and the FSC have proven people will come) to create an event at any venue in the UK and call it a Fem Sub event. What makes ours different, dare I say better, is it's run by people who will consider the subs perspective, down to comfort, safety and a general girly ambience. Even down to our playlist, we've thought about this stuff! So it's fantastic to read all the positive feedback about the effort the team went to; that kind of stuff keeps us going. |
Next year you will see more fruits of our plotting and planning; I really hope you enjoy what we've come up with.
Thanks for the incredible support we've received from all over the UK. xxx

Actually, I think it's us, your target customer, who should be thanking you guys. I said it all in my blog, but it bears repeating here. The venue, Exodus, is of course a great one, that helps. But the way FSSC is promoted, the hard work and thought that goes into the planning, and the feel of the club night is a credit to the team. The leaflets and gifts at reception are a great idea, as is the prepay system. And the friendly team there ensures every guest enters feeling they welcomed and are attending a very special event. It brings so many newbies onto the scene, and that has to be a good thing, for all of us. Last night it was my pleasure to be accompanying one such nervous newbie. I was reminded then why I feel so comfortable on 'the scene'. Everyone I introduced her to was pleased to see her, she was made to feel at ease. And this was a newbie you persuaded out. You made her feel she could do it. I'm happy to be a supporter of FSSC.

I'm the newbie @All_of_Me is referring to! And can I just say FluffySub, if it hadn't been for your lovely memo when I enquired about coming and the way you answered all my questions without thinking I was silly I wouldn't have come. You being so approachable and friendly stopped me from wimping out. Thank you so much for organising such a brilliant and friendly event, it's one I'll never forget xxx

I just wanted to say that I thought it was a great event...it felt extremely well organised, very very friendly and welcoming, impressively well equipped, and all round success!
On a personal note - catering to my smoking fetish was much appreciated To offer any constructive notes....a bigger communal sitting chatting area might have been good...and possibly one other slightly more private(ish) area......but saying that - to be honest - I couldnt work out where they could be fit in! but really really good - many thanks |
